Fisher & Paykel Underbench Oven Repair in Armidale

John Crawford Appliance Repairs recently repaired a Fisher & Paykel underbench oven that had completely failed, with no power showing on the display.

The Problem

The oven had stopped working after liquid from cooking overflowed on the bench above. The overflow made its way under the cooktop and drained down onto the oven’s main power board.

What We Found

During fault finding, John found that the liquid had caused a capacitor on the main power board to blow, destroying the board and stopping the oven from powering up.

The Repair

A new main power board was fitted to restore the oven’s operation. John also fitted foam seal strip to the cooktop above to help prevent the same problem from happening again.
