Condensor Dryer Repair - Water Leak Fixed in Armidale

31st July 2025

We were recently called to repair a condenser dryer that had started leaking water from the bottom. Interestingly, the dryer was still heating and drying clothes well, but the leak was causing concern for the owner.

On inspection and dismantling of the unit, we found the problem: a build-up of lint had made its way past some small cracks in the lint filter. Over time, this lint had blocked the water channel inside the dryer. Because of the blockage, the return water could not reach the pump, which meant it couldn’t be pumped into the water disposal tank as it should.

Our solution was to clear out the lint build-up and ensure the water channels were completely free. Once the blockage was removed, water could flow properly through the system, and the leak was resolved.

This repair highlights how important it is to keep filters in good condition and have dryers serviced when small issues arise. If you notice water leaks or unusual behaviour from your dryer, it’s always best to have it checked before bigger problems develop.
